This video I made in the summer of 2018 for my former students offers a brief overview of what is public health. At the time I am posting this here, we are unfortunately in the midst of a global pandemic associated with COVID-19. However, we need to be mindful about both infectious diseases and non-communicable diseases such as diabetes or heart disease.
Public health is crucial for everyone’s wellbeing. I hope that we will see more funding and sustained funding for public health programs in the United States and around the world. (Please note: I am no longer affiliated with the university mentioned in the video.).
